Celebrity Who will Skip Eating Turkey on Thanksgiving

 

His first PETA ad since 2008, Paul McCartney is encouraging people to embrace a cruelty-free Thanksgiving and skip the meat. ”Say No, Thanks to Turkey,” Paul says, showing off a pro-turkey T-shirt. “Go Vegetarian.” Musician and animal activist appears in new PETA ad urging people to avoid eating meat during the U.S. holiday.


“Save a life this Thanksgiving, and join me in starting a new tradition by adopting a turkey instead of eating one through Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt-A-Turkey Project,” Ellen DeGeneres said in a press release.


Alicia Silverstone talks about her own experiences with being vegetarian and than becoming vegan. It was great to see that she had many things that reminded people of not eating meat through vegetarianism. Alicia work with PETA and animal cruelty. 


Woody Harrelson and Jessica Chastain have topped PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities 2012. The actor has been a vegetarian for nearly 30 years.


Tobey Maguire has been a vegetarian for many years and is working towards adopting a completely vegan diet. However, he said he goes full-blown vegetarian when making weight alterations for movie roles, such as bulking up for Spiderman or slimming down for Seabiscuit.


Kristen Bell's favorite vegetable? Brussel sprouts! The starlet gave up meat several years ago and was eventually given the honor of PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian.

PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities 2012 contest. According to PETA, Jessica Chastain has been a vegetarian for 15 years and a vegan for five. The actress even had vegan "fried chicken" prepared for her on the set of "The Help." "I don't want to torture anything," Chastain said in a press statement. "[I]t's about trying to live a life where I'm not contributing to the cruelty in the world.


Natalie Portman is an advocate for animal rights and has been a vegetarian since childhood. She also refuses to wear fur, feathers or leather.


Carrie Underwood was named the Sexiest Vegetarian in 2005 and 2007. She gave up meat at the age of 13 because she said she couldn't fathom eating one of her own animals. PETA seemed to agree with her as well.

Anne Hathaway has been an on-again, off-again vegetarian for most of her life, but has gone meat free for the last three years.
