Tattoos when created by a highly skilled and talented ink artist can become a magnificent masterwork. Nevertheless, the best part of having tattoo is that it is placed on your skin. The body can actually be a canvas for a masterpiece. You can place tattoos on almost any portion of your body. And one of the most distinguishing style that is receiving high popularity these days are tattoo sleeves.

What are tattoo sleeves? It is a kind of tattoo which covers a huge part of the body. The portion of the body that is covered with tattoo reveals minimal skin. The whole portion of the skin is covered with complex patterns, designs and objects.

However, sleeve tattoos are not only placed on the arms. Sleeve tattoos may also be placed on legs. If you say sleeve tattoo, it cannot only be present on the top portion of the skin. It should entirely cover the leg or arm.

A tattoo sleeve can be the best work of art but the hunt for the ultimate tattoo sleeve can be a little difficult. It may be time consuming how to put the design but it is crucial. It should never be rushed or else the design could end up in a disaster.

Tattoo sleeve can be very pricey since it will have to cover a huge portion of your body. Actually, a complete sleeve tattoo can charge from some hundreds to thousands of dollars.

In addition, since the size and intricacy of this tattoo will involve hard labor, the design will not be completed in a single session. You will have to visit your tattoo artist a lot of times to finish the job. Full sleeve tattoo may consume more than 20 hours to complete. The artist may divide the appointments in 1 hour allocations.

It is a huge decision and commitment to acquire a sleeve tattoo. It will involve huge amount of money and time to get into sessions and finish a tattoo like such. It is not recommended to rush into getting one. Ensure that you have created a design which you will be comfortable of wearing for the rest of your life. It will also be beneficial if you have a great tattoo artist and discuss with him how to create a great design. In this way you will be able to share your ideas for him to come up with a style that will fit your preferences.

The Cost of Tattoo Supplies

The price of tattoo supplies varies depending on the quality of the equipment and the supplier. The power supplies will cost in the range of $150-$300, but you can find tattoo power supplies on eBay or Amazon for $80-$100. Remember though when buying anything including tattoo supplies, you get what you pay for.

Tattoo machines are also a very important part of your tattoo supplies; they can also be brought on eBay, but it's best to shop around online before you make that final decision. If you go for a better or more expensive tattoo machine it will last you a lifetime and you will more than get your money back; they will pay for them self really quickly.

The clip cord and pedal are usually an additional $40; sometimes you can find them a lot cheaper if you look around. The tattoo tubes also vary a lot in price; you can buy disposable tattoo tubes for under $1, but you are not going to have as much control over your machine. Tattoo caps can be brought for around $20 by the thousand depending on the size.

Tattoo inks can be brought very cheaply but you are better off using some of the better more expensive tattoo inks. You can expect to pay around $30 for an 8 oz bottle of colored tattoo ink, depending on the color.

The start of something new...

After pulling my hair out for a few weeks, I got myself out of doing my own coding and such for my website and transferred everything over to another venue, so my site is on a more "Penny-Friendly" where I don't have to fiddle with backups, coding, losing data...

Today was rough.. I couldn't for the life of me get my domain to point to the new site.. but after about 8 cups of coffee and being online with my domain registry's tech support, everything is working properly.

The new site has a blog.. so I will be retiring this blog effective immediately.  My new blog is located on my site so no more going from one site to another.  Easy Peasy for me!

Celebrity Love for Saniki Creations Chainmaille at the GBK 2012 MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge

Fidget Pendant 

On June 1st and 2nd, Jewelry by Saniki Creations sent 100 Fidget Dodecahedron Chainmaille Pendants to be included in swag bags via The Artisan Group at the GBK 2012 MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge in the L'Ermitage Beverly Hills Hotel, California.  We also had our Chainmaille Framed Tree of Life Wall Decor, which we have now named "Cybele-Diana" on display at The Artisan Group table.

Though I wasn't present at the location, I was connected, via Facebook and Twitter, to my fellow "TAG" members, on who came to see the display of my Tree and the displays of my fellow members of  The Artisan Group, who were also participating in this event.
